Atlantic Cape’s Dr. Natalie Devonish and Victor Moreno Recognized at the Greater AC Chamber’s Annual Business Excellence Awards

GALLOWAY — Before professional peers, local business leaders, family and friends, two members of the Atlantic Cape Community College staff were honored by the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce on March 28 at the organization’s Annual Business Excellence Awards ceremony held at The Carriage House in Galloway.

Dr. Natalie Devonish, vice president, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, received the Outstanding Young Professional award. Dr. Devonish, an Atlantic City native and resident, consistently gives back to her community through her involvement in organizations, such as Youth Exposure, Inc., the Atlantic City Alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Atlantic City Rotary Club, the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City and more. Dr. Devonish also was inducted into the Atlantic County Women’s Hall of Fame in 2023 as well.

John Heinz, president of Triax Streaming Networks, LLC., in his introductory comments, stated that Dr. Devonish “...has exemplified success in every step of her life and her leadership has left an enduring impact on thousands of lives through her commitment to student success beyond the college campus.”

It is an honor to be recognized for the contributions that I have made, especially in the great city and the surrounding area of Atlantic City,” said Dr. Devonish. “I would also like to acknowledge and thank Atlantic Cape Community College and the team that is here with me today for always supporting me.”

Victor Moreno, senior manager, Special Projects, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, was recognized as a Top 20 Under 40 professional. Moreno, an Atlantic City resident who has been with Atlantic Cape for 17 years, is very active in the Atlantic City community along with his siblings, Christian and Irvin.

“I am so extremely honored and thankful for being recognized today as a Top 20 Under 40. I am so happy and excited to be here and to share this with all of the other nominees,” said Moreno. “And, of course, thank you to Atlantic Cape for allowing me to thrive within my career by letting me do what I have to do.”

Dr. Devonish had nothing but praise for her professional confidant.

“There is one person who has been with me through my time here at Atlantic Cape and that is Mr. Victor Moreno. Simply put, Victor makes me look good,” said Dr. Devonish. “He is a jack-of-all-trades and the true support behind Atlantic Cape’s student affairs and enrollment.”

  • Business Leader of the Year, Matt Kramer, Kramer Beverage
  • Community Leaders of the Year, The Elliot Family, The John R. Elliot HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers.
